bet365 Edit Bet – Innovative Way of Betting

One of the most trusted bookmakers in the sports community, bet365 have introduced a new betting feature called Edit Bet for their valued customers (old and new).

Edit Bet is available on the bet365 mobile site and app, which allows customers to remove, swap or add selections on unsettled straight accumulators both pre-match and In-Play. For unsettled single bets, the punter has the facility to swap or add selections.

bet365 Edit Bet feature utilizes Cash Out functionality. When editing a bet, the existing bet is cashed out and a new bet is placed with the edited selections, using the Cash Out amount as the stake. The new bet will be placed at the current odds available for the selections, regardless of initial odds taken.

Edit Bet is offered when Cash Out is available for all unsettled selections within the bet and where the outcome of the bet has not already been determined. This means that even if a number of selections within the accumulator have already been settled, a customer still has the option to use the Edit Bet feature.

How to Edit a Bet

Bets can be edited on the mobiles or tablets of customers via the Cash Out tab of My Bets by selecting ‘Edit Bet’ in the top right of the bet slip. The bet slip will update to allow the customer to remove, swap or add selections.

Adding a selection

Customers must select ‘Edit Bet’, then ‘+ Add’ Selections. They are then taken to the Sports Home Page and shown a pop-up informing them to browse the site and add selections.

Choosing a selection from any coupon adds it to a temporary bet slip, which will display at the bottom of the screen. The bet slip automatically updates with a New Return amount to account for the removal of the selection.

To submit the Edit Bet request, the customer must select ‘Add to Bet’ to update the bet slip with the new selections and ‘Save Changes’ and then ‘Confirm’.

Swapping a Selection

To swap a selection in the bet, the customer must select Edit Bet, and then choose the selection on the bet slip they want to swap.

The customer is then shown the Swap Selection pop-up, where they can choose an alternative selection from the same market. The bet slip automatically updates with a New Return amount to account for the swapped selection.

The customer must select ‘Done’ to update with the new selection, select ‘Save Changes’ and then ‘Confirm’ to submit the Edit Bet request.

Removing a Selection

To remove a selection from the bet, the customer simply needs to select the ‘X’ to the left of the selection. The removed selection will then display as struck through on the bet slip. This can be reversed by selecting ‘Undo’ and the selection will be added back to the bet slip. A new return amount will display to account for any changes in selections, odds or stake.

Saving and confirming your request

Once you have added, swapped or removed selections to your bet you will need to confirm this by selecting ‘Save Changes’. Once clicked, the ‘Save Changes’ button will update to state ‘Confirm’. If you do not click on confirm within five seconds this will revert back to the previous state. On selecting ‘Confirm’, the button will update to ‘Saving’ and when complete, your bet will display as edited.

Terms and Conditions

bet365 Edit Bet is available on selected events, fixtures and markets both pre-match and In-Play, on single and straight accumulator bets, for a variety of sports including Soccer, Tennis and Basketball.

A time delay occurs when validating an Edit Bet request. If the price changes or a market suspends during this time then the Edit Bet request may not be successful. If the Edit Bet request is successful, the bet will be placed using the new stake and the edited selections will display within ‘My Bets’.

Edit Bet is not available on Each-Way bets.

Note: bet365 reserves the right to amend, suspend or remove the Edit Bet feature at any time for any event, fixture or market. Any bets placed on such events, fixtures or markets will stand as originally placed.

Where a selection is suspended and therefore Cash Out is not available, the Edit Bet option will be hidden. Customers who are resident in Australia, Cyprus, Czech Republic or Italy will not be able to use Edit Bet.
