Winning start for Republic of Ireland new manager Martin O’Neil

Republic of Ireland new manager Republic of Ireland warned against complacency after 3-0 win over Latvia in an international friendly match.

It was O’Neil first game in charge of Ireland and he was pleased that the team not only won, but it was convincing result.

Republic of Ireland goals came from Robbie Keane, Aiden McGeady and Shane Long.

Ireland assistant manager, Roy Keane is delighted to work under Martin O’Neill whom used to be a manager in top division football leagues, such as Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland.

Poland will host Ireland in the friendly match next week. From their h2h stats, Ireland have only won once at Polish home ground.
