Everton to challenge for Premier League glory

The acquisition of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid shows that Everton is serious in mounting a title challenge in English Premier League.

The British media reported that Everton paid around 20 million pounds for the 29-year-old  Colombian playmaker.

Despite scoring 37 goals and provided 42 assists across at Real Madrid, he was not in the books of Zinedine Zidane whom is the manager of the Spanish Giants.

Gareth Bale is another victim whom did not win over Zidane’s faith.

James Rodriguez joined the Spanish side after an impressive perfomance at the 2014 World Cup in which he won the Golden Boot with six goals.

He will be reunited with former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti whom is now the Everton manager.

Ancelotti recognizes the potential of James Rodriguez in providing important assists to the strikers.

Rodriguez is Everton’s second major signing following the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Allan from Napoli.
