Carlo Ancelotti Looks to be the First Choice for Everton

Ancelotti steered the ship for Napoli at Liverpool when they played in the Champion’s League last month. The Toffees are going to try and make more intensive moves when trying to secure a deal and if they do then things might be finally moving in their direction.

Talks

There are reports that the 60-year old was actually at Merseyside on Monday. Some are saying that the talks were way off the mark. Ancelotti was actually sacked by Napoli after he took the team to the Champion’s League during the knockout phase. A statement was released by Everton and he’s stated that they had held numerous meetings and that he has spoken with a lot of different candidates too. He has confirmed that so far, no offer for a contract has been made. On top of this, no candidate has been chosen to withdraw either.

The club is keen to try and find a new manager as soon as possible but at the end of the day, they do have to make sure that the right appointment is made at the same time. The process is going to continue, and they are also going to do everything they can to make the right choice. Looking to the Future

Everton’s own Farhad Moshiri has stated that Ancelotti could be a big name to add to his team. It would be regarded as a coup if he was able to pull it off, and with talks already taking place, it’s safe to say that this could actually happen. Everton are going to try and set up even more face to face discussions so that they can persuade the Italian- who actually happened to win the Premier League, to see if he is able to make a fast return to the football team.

Ancelotti is actually not the only option for Everton however. David Moyes is also being heavily considered. His name has been met with somewhat of a negative reaction from supporters though. RB Leipzig’s sports head, Ralf Rangnick has been touted too. He was the candidate that would go on to succeed Moyes when he made the jump to Manchester United in the year 2013. Mikel Arteta was also another who had a large amount of admirers throughout the hierarchy at Everton. Right now it looks like he could be leaving his role as assistant manager at Manchester United, so he can take over Arsenal. He had talks with the Gunners and it looks like there could be some positive movements there.
