Premier League Result: Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal

History do repeat itself. In our match preview report for Manchester United vs Arsenal, we highlighted that Arsenal have not won at Old Trafford in recent years. Their last victory was in 2006 or seven years ago.

Our readers would have been dissuaded from taking Arsenal after reading our exclusive soccer analysis.

It was an open match with many attacks, crosses and opportunities to score. However, only one goal from Manchester United separated the two Premier League clubs.

Robin van Persie scored against his former club, Arsenal, in the 27th minutes by heading in from a corner kick.

This marked the second loss for the Gunners in English Premier League. However, they remain at the top of Premier League table with 25 points. Liverpool is two points behind at second place.

Alex Ferguson was present at Old Trafford to witness Manchester United triumph over Arsenal. His presence is so important to the team and club supporters.

To be frank, Arsenal do not deserve to lose because they have so many opportunities to equalize. Bacary Sagna was our man of the match because of his pinpoint crosses to Manchester United penalty box. Unfortunately, Oliver Giroud and Aaron Ramsey left their goalscoring boots at home.
