Juventus vs Lazio

Juventus vs Lazio – Juventus and Lazio come face to face in the Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome on 17th May, Wednesday.

Juventus sit atop the Serie A title with a four-point cushion above AS Roma with just two games to play. They have also qualified for the finals of the UEFA Champions League, which they will contest next month against Real Madrid. A win tonight will give Maximiliano Allegri’s side a chance to win the treble this season.

Lazio are fourth in the Serie A standings and defeated Genoa, Inter Milan and Roma to make it to the finals of the Coppa Italia. Juventus knocked out Atalanta, AC Milan and Napoli en route to the finals.

Team News

Miralem Pjanic is suspended while Marko Pjaca, Daniele Rugani and Sami Khedira are injured. Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic will face late fitness tests but are expected to feature.

Federico Marchetti is Lazio’s only injury concern.

“A 20-day mini-season kicks off tomorrow with the Coppa Italia final then our home match against Crotone and it ends in Cardiff with the Champions League final.

It’s time to step up and start reaping what we have sown. Lazio have had a brilliant calendar year and I have no doubt that their coach Inzaghi will go on to do great things as a manager. They have an excellent squad and we will need to play very well indeed to beat them.”

– Maximiliano Allegri, Juventus.

Contributor’s Pick

According to Juventus vs Lazio H2H Stats, Juventus have won all of their five previous matches with Lazio. In fact, Juventus are undefeated in their last thirteen matches against Lazio in all competitions.

Juventus have kept a clean sheet in their last 6 matches against Lazio in all competitions and have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 Coppa Italia matches.

A 2-0 win for Juventus is the most likely result tonight.

KENYA Manu2016 Juventus’ brilliant treble push has brought forward the Coppa Italia final, which was moved due to their involvement in the Champions League final. While they’re chasing European glory, they’re also gunning for a unique kind of treble against Lazio on Wednesday. With the Old Lady a point away from securing the title, they could record a third straight league and cup double in the next few days.

Juventus missed the opportunity to win the title on Sunday night, after a 3-1 defeat to Roma left them a point shy of a sixth straight Scudetto. They return to the Stadio Olimpico here, but the team for this cup final will have a more familiar look. They heavily rotated with one eye on this clash.

Lazio also rotated, which left both sides coming in to this final on the back of a defeat. They’re certainly going to need all the rest they can get, as they’ve lost six straight meetings with Juventus. All of those defeats have come to nil, with the Old Lady looking comfortable home and away to the Biancocelesti this term. That’s despite Simone Inzaghi leading them to one of their strongest Serie A campaigns in years.

If Juventus can keep another clean sheet on Wednesday night, it’s highly likely that they’ll win the cup. as they’ve scored at least once in 40 of their last 41 games in all competitions. Their only clean sheet was in that impressive 0-0 at Barcelona, so this has been a brilliant few months for the Old Lady. They’re on the verge of something special, and there’s little about Lazio which suggests they’re about to cause an upset.

While their loss at the Olimpico adds a little doubt over Juventus here, they were simply delaying their title until their meeting with Crotone this weekend. Having won 75% of their league games, and seen off some of Europe’s best, it’s hard to look past Juve at 21/20 with bet365. They’re rarely at that price, and we expect them to continue their brilliant run against Lazio with another victory.
Juventus to win 2-0
