Juventus Lead Chase for Gonzalo Higuain’s Signature

The future of Napoli striker, Gonzalo Higuain remains a mystery this summer, but latest reports suggesting that he might not be leaving Italy with Juventus reportedly leading the case for his signature. Italian media have been strongly reporting that Bianconeri are serious in snatching last season’s Italy Serie A top scorer and ready to meet the Argentinian’s 94 million Euro release clause. However, there are conflicting reports regarding the method’s of payment as some believe the Turin giant will be paying up cash money while others are convinced that Juve are offering some players along with money to the Partenopei for Higuain.

Juventus actually were not mentioned as potential suitor for Higuain earlier this summer, as English Premier League sides such as Arsenal and Liverpool were tipped as favorites, notably Arsene Wenger’s side. However, latest development could very well see, The Gunners missing out on another potential target, unless Wenger is making some fast moves ahead of potential talk between La Vecchia Signora with Napoli. Reports from Italian press, claiming that next Monday there will be a serious meeting between Juve and the Naples based outfit regarding the transfer market. Naturally, Higuain will be discussed as well, while the Turin giant are rumored to be handing over several Partenopei targers such as Roberto Pereyra, Daniel Rugani along with Simone Zaza.

However, there’s still strong possibility that Napoli won’t be interested with Juve’s offer as they never really keen on selling their star striker this summer, especially to their title rival. Unfortunately, Higuain himself has already hinted that he is keen on moving after refusing to sign a new deal with the Partenopei earlier this summer. Having bigger opportunity in winning titles with Juve, the Argentinian might be tempted to switch side as rumors even claimed that there’s already a personal agreement made between Massimiliano Allegri’s side with the former Real Madrid attacker. Nevertheless, with such strong protest from their fans, Maurizio Sarri’s side will definitely try their best to convince their star man to stay at San Paolo for at least another season.

One way or another, it’s very unlikely that Higuain saga will be resolved anytime soon as this potential big money transfer normally drag on for a while.
