Sevilla vs Celta de Vigo – Copa Del Rey – Preview

Sevilla will take on Celta de Vigo in the first leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Thursday, 4th January. While Celta de Vigo caused an upset by defeating Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals, Sevilla had an easier route to the semi-finals as they did not concede against Real Betis and CD Mirandes in the last two rounds.

Although Celta de Vigo have been struggling with poor form off late, dropping to seventh position in league standings, Sevilla are on a brilliant run of their own, having not lost a game in close to a month.

Nico Pareja and Marco Andreolli are confirmed absentees for Sevilla while midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is a doubt. Celta de Vigo could be without as many as four players, with Fontas sidelined through an injury and Nolito yet to regain complete match fitness. Marcelo Diaz and Ruben Blanco are doubts as well and will face late fitness tests.
