Germany Football Federation reward players with 200,000 euros bonus

Football fans in Europe are delighted that Germany have qualified for World Cup 2014.

German Football Federation (DFB) will be paying out 4 million euros to each Germany football player. They can receive up to 200,000 euros as a reward for a successful World Cup qualification campaign.

Germany have finished as Group C winners after winning all the World Cup qualification matches except the match against Sweden which resulted in 4-4 draw in 17 October last year.

Apparently, only eight players in Germany national team will receive the maximum bonus of 200,000 euros. They are captain Philipp Lahm, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, playmaker Mesut Özil, defender Per Mertesacker, defensive midfielder  Jerome Boateng,  attacker Thomas Müller and Andre Schürrle.

We are surprised that Germany reserve goalkeeper Robert Zieler will also be awarded the maximum reward although he has not play a match in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
