Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid after World Cup 2018 tournament according to reliable sources in Portugal.

Ronaldo demanded a pay rise from Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, after Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar sign contracts with a higher paycheck.

Reports claimed that Ronaldo currently earns €23.6m per season and Perez had an informal agreement to raise his salary to €37m net after tax.

Unfortunately, the promise fail to materialize.

Having joined Madrid in 2009 from Manchester United, Ronaldo’s contract at the Bernabeu commits him to the reigning European champions until June 2021.

For sporting reasons, Real Madrid do not see the need to renew a player’s contract whom will turn 36 years old when the contract is due.

Contract negotiation has stalled with the departure of Zinedine Zidane, the coach whom brought 3 back to back titles in UEFA Champions League. Gareth Bale was the hitman with two winning goals scored in the final.
