We knew it would be a football match with many goals from the moment Atlético Madrid scored in the very first minute of play after Óliver Torres put the ball at the back of Real Betis net.

More goals did not arrive until the second half.

Former Barcelona striker David Villa scored two goals in 52nd and 56th minutes after enduring a goal drought for seven consecutive matches.

Spain Primera Division leading goalscorer Diego Costa was on the score sheet at the 65th minutes before Gabi added the fifth goal at injury time.

Only one point separates Atletico Madrid and Barcelona at the top of Spain La Liga table. Real Madrid is at third place with 22 points.

Tonight there will be Getafe vs Athletic Bilbao which will kick off at 0500hrs Singapore time or 2100hrs GMT.
