Juventus will take on Hellas Verona at the Juventus Stadium, Turin on 6th January, Wednesday in their eighteenth match of the ongoing 2015/16 Serie A season. It is a relatively easy fixture after the winter break for the defending champions who are rebuilding their season, having made a disastrous start to the domestic campaign.
Juventus now sit on the seventh position in league standings with thirty-three points while Hellas Verona are in the twentieth position with just eight points so far.
Team News
Roberto Pereyra is ruled out for Juventus while Kwadwo Asamoah and Mario Lemuna are listed as doubts. Eros Pisano is suspended for the visitors and Juanito and Michaelangelo Albertazzi will miss due to injuries.
Thoughts From Both Camps
“We’re taking each game at a time. To start talking about the title now would be premature and the wrong way to go about things because we’re only at the midway point of the season.”
– Stefano Stuaro, Juventus.
“This time we have to make a big comeback, as a team. Saving [Verona from relegation] would be like winning the Champions League. It’s better we face [Juve] now after the Christmas break so hopefully some players will still be distracted. Juventus are clearly stronger, but we can cause them problems.”
– Luca Toni, Hellas Verona.
Contributor’s Pick
According to Head-2-Head statistics, Juventus have won all of their previous seven matches against Hellas Verona in all competitions. The visitors have not won any of their last nineteen matches in the Serie A, a trend which might get them relegated come end of the season. Juventus have won their last seven league games on the trot and are considered the favorites on Wednesday, with 3-0 being the most probable scoreline.
