Xas	Truthfully, have never heard of 'Sutton United' till recent days. A game where what matters is 'How much effort Arsenal is spending'. Two is suffice, or More to boost morale. A likely 0-2 game, early half, and they players are idling kicking the ball around the rest of the game. liam2wap	Considering how we could have made a profit just by blindly betting against all the favourites in recent FA Cup matches, it's tempting to think that ship has already sailed but I think we could do a lot worse than go with the trend. If Sutton have come this far, it means they know what they're doing and could try to park the bus for a draw and/or maybe even get a lucky goal somewhere along the line. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I'm wrong though.
Xas	If you did take a closer look at the opponents Sutton had won against in the FA earlier rounds, they are of the lower leagues, burden with red card and managed slight victory. Of course any lower league team facing a giant would have play defensive or for draw. Or even become a Blackhorse, sneaking a goal over the Conceded, always a possibility. But there is still a big difference between the two.
Xas	Even if Sutton United does know what they are doing, 5mins before kickoff, imagine the player's state of mind at both ends, Who will be nervous and break sweat, Going to face a Giant. 50% of Sutton's players will be nervous. 10% will have trembling feet. Going to face Sutton United. 90% of Arsenal's will treat it casually, they are used to the game. A difference in Class. The battle is already half lost, in terms of pressure. Just an assumption.
liam2wap	I do like the psychological analysis angle. If Sutton are desperate to win or feel intimidated, for sure the pressure could lead to mistakes, and of course it's easier for them to make those mistakes having less experienced players. Being a top team facing underdogs can come with pressure of its own though, as the weight of expectation will be heavier on them and each minute that ticks by without a goal adds to that tension. I wonder too if world-class players can sometimes feel brought down to earth when they visit the grounds of lower league or non-league teams, like are they going to experience the same level of comfort or atmosphere they're used to etc.

Xas	Arsenal was so playing possession, while Sutton United did put up a good fight, and so nearly put one in the net, hitting the bar. Could have done better tho. Good Game.
liam2wap	I watched too - entertaining match, and not as one-sided as the result suggests. Could have been a draw if Sutton were quicker to capitalise on their chances and if Deacon's excellent strike had been a few inches lower. Arsenal deserved the win though.
