Stoke City couldn’t do much more in their
defeat on Saturday afternoon away to Chelsea,
but the team still give a decent fight in a 4:2
defeat. Of course the Blues were the ones who
deserved the victory and had much more of
the ball possession and chances created, taking
the lead in 34th minute with a goal from Cahill,
but the visitors surprised them with good
approach in the second halftime.
Martins Indi leveled up the result just a minute
in the repetition, but Willian re-installed the
lead for Chelsea in 57th minute. Crouch
leveled up again just minutes again, but
Willian’s goal in next minute brought the home
team into the lead again. Finally, Costa sealed
the victory for the hosts five minutes before
the final whistle. This was fifth consecutive
match without a victory for Stoke, as the team
remains above the relegation zone having six
points more than relegating worried
Sunderland. Goalkeeper Jack Butland (no
appearance so far in the season) and central
defender Geoff Cameron (7/0) are both
continuing to be sidelined with injuries.
Watford, on the other side, comes from a 1:4
home defeat against Tottenham Hotspur last
Sunday evening. They were actually outplayed
from the first till last moment, as their
opponents simply looked much more mature
and always knew what they wanted with the ball
to their feet.
Spurs took the lead in 27th minute with a goal
from Kane, who scored once more six minutes
later, while Alli wrote 3:0 in 41st minute. Same
player scored again at the start of the second
halftime, while the hosts tried to respond but
without much of success all the way till the very
last moments when Kaboul reduced the deficit.
It was completely deserved defeat for Watford,
team that now resides in the middle of the
table with twenty-two points earned, which is
seven more than relegating worried
Sunderland.
Suspended for this match is defender Miguel
Britos (15/0), while injured continue to be also
defensive Daryl Janmaat (11/1), Adrian
Mariappa (3/0), right back Juan Zuniga (15/1),
midfielders Roberto Pereyra (13/2), Valon
Behrami (16/0) and forward Isaac Success (8/1).
Doubtful is midfielder Ben Watson (4/0).
Stoke isn’t having good results in recent weeks,
but the team also played against really strong
opponents. Therefore, this match comes
almost a must win situation for them, similar
as for Watford that didn’t win in last four. With
both teams coming into the match with
something to prove, I definitely see this one as
much more open game than what the
bookmakers represent.

Stoke put up a strong display against the loss to Chelsea in their previous match, managing to score the opening then the equalizer. Watford on the other hand came off a humiliating defeat to Tottenham, conceding 4 goals.
Large stake on Over 2.5 goals and Home. Small stake on BTTS and Stoke -1 goal
