After suffering the indignity of being relegated for the first time in their 55 year history last season Hamburg are looking to make the jump straight back up to the Bundesliga, and have a great chance to pull 3 points clear of Union Berlin into second place and within a single point of leaders Koln with a home win here tonight.
Though their 6-3-2 home record doesn't make them look invincible, it's important to note that they've already hosted all of the top 10 sides in the league with their 6 remaining home fixtures all coming against teams in the bottom 8.
Even with that tough schedule they've still managed to go undefeated in their last 7 home league matches, and I'll be hugely surprised if they don't extend that run to 8 today against mediocre Greuther Furth.
The visitors already look to be comfortably in no-mans land, sitting 12th in the table 9 points clear of the relegation zone but 15 back of 3rd place and a promotional playoff spot.
