Newcastles home record is very good against southampton (W 20/ D 5 / L 4 )
But given their very shaky ending to the EPL last season only just staying above relegation by 4 points i believe they will be under enormous pressure to pick up a win first game of the season but things could turn sour for Newcastle with the dangerous front pack that Southampton possess. Draw is my pick for this one.
